THE GAME OF LIFE 2 is a direct sequel to Marmalade’s best-selling digital board game: THE GAME OF LIFE, which launched on the App Store and Google Play in 2016. It now sits consistently at #2 on the App Store board game charts with over 1.6 million installs. The Game of Life 2 is a fun version of the board game. It offers more choices and more freedom at every stage of the game on a fully animated and immersive 3D board. It is a new take on the original family favourite tabletop life simulator. By rethinking the basic outlook of the game, it seeks to offer new, more relevant and meaningful ways for you to progress through your in-game life. This includes giving you the chance to forge a path towards happiness, wealth or knowledge. The game starts you off by having you create your character, pick your car, and decide your gender. Now you have an additional choice in the section of picking character: instead of just pink and blue characters, there is also a purple character that has qualities of both pink and blue. There are a bunch of different cars and skins for your character and you can unlock more through purchasing season passes or completing in-game achievements, but more on that later. There are comments saying THE GAME OF LIFE 2 does feel like there is far more waiting. Though the little cutscenes are cute and watching bots pick their turn is understandable, it’s a bit boring without people to talk to, creating their story on why they have changed jobs or got a new cat. However the interesting part of this game is, it reflects truly the requirements for living life in an optimal way. By acknowledging and accepting these principles you will put yourself in an optimal mental state-of-mind that will shift how you think about your life and circumstances.
